Tanya Charlesworth, P.E., is a nationally recognized structural engineer with over 15 years of experience specializing in temporary works, vertical access, and construction logistics for some of the most complex job sites in North America.

Before founding Charlesworth Engineering, Tanya spent nearly a decade at BrandSafway, where she led engineering teams and played a key role in shaping the company’s hoisting strategy across the U.S. and Canada. Her portfolio includes high-profile projects such as the JP Morgan Headquarters, Waldorf Astoria renovation, and Hudson Yards development in New York City — each demanding innovative access planning and engineering precision under tight urban constraints.

Tanya has provided engineering leadership on projects in nearly every major U.S. market, including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Toronto, and Houston. Her expertise in hoisting, scaffolding, and public protection systems has supported thousands of vertical feet of safe, efficient construction access — helping contractors deliver on time, under pressure, and in full compliance with local regulations.

Known for her thoughtful approach and ability to balance design intent with constructability, Tanya brings a practical mindset and collaborative spirit to every job. She founded Charlesworth Engineering to provide high-impact engineering that bridges the field and the drawing board — empowering builders with clear, code-compliant solutions rooted in real-world experience.

Tanya holds a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in most metro areas and is a strong advocate for inclusion in engineering. Through Charlesworth Engineering, she aims to elevate not only structures — but the people behind them.
